Hurricane season
This occurs from around July to October with severe outbreaks
in September and October.
To reassure visitors to the West Indies, the alarm is
given at least 72 hours in advance and safety measures
are put into effect immediately.
Warning : Fort-Louis Marina is not a shelter for hurricanes.
In the event of an alarm, boats must evacuate to the nearest
port of shelter.
